Villa Maricel has two outstanding features which are unusual even for a luxury villa - a dedicated gym with underwater views INTO the swimming pool, and an extremely large roof terrace which extends over almost the entire building footprint.

The roof terrace is reached by an exterior staircase. It is tiled in terracotta and about 170 m2, with panoramic views overlooking the marina and the bay. It has an area of about 40 sq.m. with standard gym equipment of weights, benches, mats etc. and ample space for further items should there be demand from group members, and is already wired for future installation of a sauna. Although below the garden level living area, it has ample natural light (and views of swimming guests !) from two large under-water windows into the swimming pool. With immediate access to the pool from the gym, this gives Villa Maricel its own private "health club" facilities on a par with many of the best hotels. The gym also has a very large range of fitted cupboards / wardrobes behind sliding doors along 2 walls, which can be used as part of the members' private storage space. 

Two ventilation shafts provide natural (and forced) ventilation to this area.  The gymnasium is very well insulated and is naturally cool in the summer and pleasant for workouts in the winter. It is also plumbed for air-conditioning and heating but there has not been any need to activate either of these. It could also easily be equipped as a home cinema.
